MONTREAL, May 8, 2017 /CNW Telbec/ - Air Canada (TSX: AC) announced today that all of the nominees listed in the management proxy circular dated March 24, 2017 were elected as directors of Air Canada at the company's Annual Meeting of Shareholders which was held on Friday, May 5, 2017 in Montreal.
All of the nominees have already been serving as directors of Air Canada and each of the directors was elected by a majority of the votes cast by shareholders present or represented by proxy at the meeting. The results of the vote are detailed below.

At the meeting, shareholders also ratified Air Canada's shareholder rights plan adopted by the Board of Directors on March 24, 2017 in order to renew the shareholder rights plan originally adopted by the Board on March 30, 2011, as amended on June 4, 2012 and March 27, 2014. A copy of the shareholder rights plan is available on SEDAR at www.sedar.com.
Final voting results on all matters voted on at the meeting will be filed on SEDAR.
