Air Canada Confirms Incident Involving Air Canada Express Flight AC7804

MONTREAL, April 21, 2016 /CNW Telbec/ - An EVAS Air Beechcraft 1900 was involved in an incident upon landing at Gander International Airport, Newfoundland at approximately 21:30 NDT April 20, 2016.

Air Canada Express flight AC7804, a Beechcraft 1900 operated by EVAS Air from Goose Bay to Gander on April 20, 2016 with 14 passengers and 2 crew on board, sustained damage to its landing gear upon landing, according to initial reports.

Passengers walked off the aircraft and were brought to the terminal for assistance.  They were later provided hotel accommodation for the night with the exception of three who were taken to hospital for evaluation.  Two were subsequently released and the third is expected to be released today.

EVAS Air will be cooperating with the Transportation Safety Board of Canada in the investigation of the cause of this incident.
