Travel Advisory - Air Canada resumes flights to Santiago, Chile

MONTREAL, March 4 /CNW Telbec/ - Air Canada is resuming scheduled service to Santiago, Chile, following the re-opening of Arturo Merino Benitez International Airport (SCL) to commercial operations. Air Canada's five times weekly service to Santiago, via Buenos Aires, Argentina, resumes Thursday March 4, 2010. Service to Santiago, Chile was suspended February 27, 2010 following the closure of the airport to commercial flights as a result of the earthquake in the region.

Air Canada flight AC094 departs Toronto every day except Monday and Wednesday at 23:45, arrives in Buenos Aires the next day at 13:00, redeparts Buenos Aires at 14:40, and arrives in Santiago at 16:50. Flight AC095 departs Santiago every day except Tuesday and Thursday at 18:40 arrives in Buenos Aires at 20:30, redeparts Buenos Aires at 22:10 and arrives in Toronto the next day at 07:30.

Air Canada currently operates a 349-seat Boeing 777-300ER on the Toronto-Buenos Aires-Santiago route during the southern hemisphere summer season.
